RVSAC expeditions, trips & training

Ribble Valley Sub Aqua Club (RVSAC) run many expeditions, trips and training thoughout the year. The trips cater for most divers whether they are trainees or hardened wreck divers. Expeditions tend to be more challenging with a minimum qualification of Dive Leader.

RVSAC run a 'yahoo group' for the coordination of all events. The group can be found at by clicking here. To see all the events, go to the 'calendar' link on the left hand menu bar and click 'list events'.

Expeditions & trips

Roy, our very enthusiastic planning officer, sets out a programme of dives at the beginning of the year. Many of the events are organised using our own rib but some are organised to use commercial hard-boats.

The focus of the events also vary. Some weekends are organised with families in mind and others, such as liveaboards, provide as much diving as possible.

We also run expeditions at home and abroad, but regardless of the where they are located, Roy tries to keep the cost down so that everyone can enjoy them!!

Training events

Training evenings / weekends are firmly a part of the RVSAC calendar. These extend the experience of divers, teach new skills and refresh basic skills. For training issues e-mail Ed Howarth the RVSAC training officer. To find out what's happening and when click here.
